AB Automotive Transmissions (fka AB Automotive Repair LLC) has been faithfully serving our customers prestige automotive repair and top of the line transmission rebuilds since opening in 1998. As an owner-operated small business we are vastly growing. We are grateful to our many customers who have trusted us with their general automotive repairs throughout the years, and will continue caring for their automotive needs, but in recent years our focus has mainly been on transmission rebuilding. We have grown as a leader in the tri-state region in rebuilding.

Our Shop

We are top of the tier when it comes to rebuilding transmissions, through many hustle and bustle years, learning and conquering, studying and growing we've learned the ins and outs of what works and what doesn't. We build our units with only top quality parts and know when to say "sorry, we're not equipped for that," when we need to. Our years of satisfied customers and many, many strong holding rebuilt transmissions that are still running hard can attest.

Our shop is located in central New Jersey, where we serve all of New Jersey, but our reach is growing and growing fast reaching Eastern Pennsylvania, NYC Boroughs, West Chester County, Connecticut, Delaware and Northern Maryland, Virginia to Maine and keeps growing further.

Meet The Owner

Alex B

With a lifetime of knowledge in the automotive industry Alex started off in his father's shop sweeping floors, learning and growing. As a kid he had a hunger for knowledge and the understanding of mechanics, how motors revved, how transmissions turned. If it had a motor- he was interested. With a wrench in his hand, and a mind full of curiosity Alex was determined to learn as much as possible and did so working with his father throughout high school. After graduating from Lincoln Tech he started his own auto repair shop. With the need for speed, in his spare time, Alex would be found on the racetrack, or in the shop building his own racecars with his father. He has earned many racing certifications throughout the years, traveling, competing and enjoying the innovative racing lifestyle.

Alex has been rebuilding transmissions for over 36 years, specializing in Ford, GM, Chrysler/Jeep, and Classic Mercedes. His honest, straightforward, no Mickey-mouse kind of attitude has made him successful in becoming one of the Tri-State's leader in this industry.

Alex's number one goal is honesty and listening to the needs of the customer. He asks the right questions and helps to educate driver's of their options so that they get the best product, that's right for them. Alex has dedicated his life to the art of quality repairs with a reputation to match.
